Mercy Foundation Provides Loan
A loan of $300 helped to purchase more meat to sell in her meat stall.The Mercy Foundation helped fund a microloan for Flordelyn, an entrepreneur from the Philippines.

She wants to support them in any way that she can. For that reason, she has opened several ventures. The first one is a meat vending business. And to subsidize the income from this, she has also opened up a general store that is selling frozen foods. She has taken a total of five loans in the past, and this has helped her grow her business. These loans have all been issued by the Negros Women for Tomorrow Foundation (NWTF). Flordelyn recently approached the same organization for financial assistance to help her sustain her business, as well as to grow it, by asking for a loan of 13,000 PHP. She wants to buy more meat to sell for her meat vending business. So she believes that with hard work, she will be able to attain her dream which is to save enough money to send her children to college.
Kiva PartnersFlordelyn’s loan was locally administered by the NWTF, a non-governmental organization and Kiva partner. This organization is working hard to provide loans that meet a wide range of social and economic services.
